Composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist-dramatist Oscar Hammerstein are considered the most influential and successful writing team of American theater. Their collaborations gave us Oklahoma, Carousel, State Fair, South Pacific, the King & I, Cinderella and The Sound of Music! Their legacy gave us the songs we know so well. On Oct. 28, the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, Cleveland’s premier jazz voice for almost 35 years, will present the music of Rodgers & Hammerstein in concert featuring vocalists Treva Offutt and Lou Armagno.
